Ten Gods

Direct Officer正官

Jeongwan

Proper authority — honor, principles, and social standing

Jeongwan (正官, Direct Officer) is the Ten God where an element of opposite polarity controls the Day Master. It symbolizes proper authority, honor, and adherence to rules — the most positive Officer star.

What is Jeongwan?

Jeongwan appears when an element with opposite Yin/Yang to the Day Master controls it. For Jia (Yang Wood) Day Masters, Yin Metal (Xin, 辛) is Jeongwan. 'Direct' (正) means legitimate authority — a gentler, more rational form of control than Seven Killings.

Personality Traits

Strong Jeongwan individuals are principled, responsible, and ethically minded. Trustworthy and diligent, they often earn recognition within organizations. Natural fits for government, law, management, and other stable authority positions.

Direct Officer and Relationships

In women's charts, Jeongwan represents the husband. A well-placed Jeongwan suggests a stable, reliable partner. Damage from Hurting Officer (Sangwan) can indicate relationship friction or career obstacles.
