Weak Day Master身弱

Sinyak

When the Day Stem lacks energy

Sinyak (身弱) means the Day Master has weak energy in the BaZi chart. When Wealth and Officer stars are excessive, the Day Master becomes depleted — sensitive and empathetic, but potentially indecisive under pressure.

What is Sinyak?

Sinyak describes a BaZi chart where the Day Master (Day Stem) has insufficient energy. This happens when Wealth stars (elements the Day Master controls) or Officer stars (elements that control the Day Master) dominate, exhausting or suppressing the Day Master's energy.

Characteristics of a Weak Day Master

Weak Day Master individuals are often sensitive, empathetic, and perceptive of others' emotions. They tend to be cooperative and flexible. However, they may struggle with assertiveness, decision-making, or resistance to external pressure.

Favorable Elements for Sinyak

A weak chart needs strengthening elements: ① Resource stars (elements that generate the Day Master) — replenish energy ② Friend/Rob Wealth stars (same element) — provide support. Wealth, Officer, and Output stars can further deplete the already weak Day Master.

Is Sinyak Bad?

Neither Singang nor Sinyak is inherently better. Each has its own strengths and challenges. The key is identifying the 'useful element' (Yongshin) that compensates for the imbalance. A weak chart, well-supported, can achieve excellent outcomes.

Key Points

  • Dominated by elements that exhaust or control the Day Master
  • Sensitive, empathetic, cooperative personality tendencies
  • May lack assertiveness or decisiveness
  • Resource and Friend stars help strengthen the chart
  • Neither strong nor weak is inherently better — balance is the goal
