Sangwan

The brilliant rebel — output energy that challenges authority

Sangwan (傷官, Hurting Officer) is the Ten God where the Day Master generates an element of opposite polarity. It represents exceptional talent, free thinking, and resistance to authority — brilliant but unpredictable.

What is Sangwan?

Sangwan appears when the Day Master generates an element with opposite Yin/Yang. Its name 'Hurting Officer' reflects its clash with Direct Officer (Jeongwan) energy. For Jia (Yang Wood) Day Masters, Yin Fire (Ding, 丁) is Sangwan.

Personality Traits

Strong Sangwan individuals are original thinkers with exceptional expressive ability. More sharp and challenging than Sikshin, they often resist established authority and convention. Common among artists, entrepreneurs, and innovators.

Dual Nature

Sangwan is a complex star combining genius and rebelliousness. Well-channeled, it produces outstanding creative and intellectual achievements. Excessive Sangwan can mean career instability (damaging Officer stars), relationship friction, and conflicts with authority figures.

Key Points

  • Element Day Master generates + opposite Yin/Yang
  • Originality, expressive ability, free thinking
  • Tendency to resist authority and convention
  • Genius and instability coexist
  • Sharper and more challenging than Food God
