Sangwan (傷官, Hurting Officer) is the Ten God where the Day Master generates an element of opposite polarity. It represents exceptional talent, free thinking, and resistance to authority — brilliant but unpredictable.
Sangwan appears when the Day Master generates an element with opposite Yin/Yang. Its name 'Hurting Officer' reflects its clash with Direct Officer (Jeongwan) energy. For Jia (Yang Wood) Day Masters, Yin Fire (Ding, 丁) is Sangwan.
Strong Sangwan individuals are original thinkers with exceptional expressive ability. More sharp and challenging than Sikshin, they often resist established authority and convention. Common among artists, entrepreneurs, and innovators.
